Successfully argued for the Respondent before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. In this precedent seeting judgment, the Supreme Court affirmed that arbitral tribunals retain the power to award pendente lite interest unless expressly barred by the contract.
Acquittal in a road traffic accident case - mere high speed by itself does not amount to a rash and negligent act:
Pro bono successfully represented an indigent client before the High Court of Delhi, which reversed concurrent convictions by the Magistrate Court as well as the Sessions Court and acquitted the accused.
Online Gaming Regulation:
Represented an online gaming company before the Supreme Court of India, which granted a stay on all show-cause notice proceedings relating to online rummy and similar games until final disposal.

Arbitration Timeline – Commencement of 12-Month Period:
Represented a party before the Delhi High Court in a significant decision clarifying the arbitral timeline under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The Court held that the twelve-month period for making an arbitral award begins from the date of completion of pleadings—not from the date of filing of the Statement of Defence.
IBC – Partial Payments & Default:
Represented financial creditor before NCLAT which held that acceptance of partial payment does not negate default or legitimacy of insolvency proceedings.
States’ can tax mineral rights – 9-judge Constitution Bench:
Represented the State of Andhra Pradesh in a precedent-setting 9-judge bench decision of the Supreme Court of India, upholding the legislative competence of States to levy tax on mineral rights and holding that ‘royalty’ is not tax.
Delhi Ridge Tree Felling– Contempt Case:
Represented the officials of Forest Department, Government of NCT of Delhi, in high-profile contempt proceedings against the Lieutenant Governor and the DDA for unauthorized tree felling in the Delhi Ridge area without Supreme Court approval.
Registry Accountability:
Represented a party in proceedings where the Supreme Court took strong exception to its own registry for failing to list the matter in accordance with court directions, and sought an explanation.
Criminal-Civil Overlap:
Represented a party in a case of prosecution by a bank against its alleged defaulter where the Supreme Court reiterated that criminal cases with an overwhelmingly civil character should be quashed when the parties have amicably resolved their disputes.

Represented a leading construction company before the National Green Tribunal which recalled order stopping the construction of Mumbai Coastal Road construction on the ground of noise pollution.
Arbitration and Stamping (7 Judge-bench judgment):
Submitted written arguments before 7-judge bench of the Supreme Court, on the interplay between arbitration agreements and unstamped agreements, a case that impacted international and domestic arbitrations. The submissions were acknowledged in the judgment.

Merger Sanction– Logistics Sector:
Represented a leading logistics and supply chain company in India in obtaining NCLT approval for its scheme of merger.
IBC – Personal Guarantor Proceedings:
Represented financial creditor before the NCLAT in appeals concerning the initiation of insolvency proceedings against personal guarantors under Section 95(1) of the IBC. The NCLAT addressed the maintainability of such applications when no Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) or liquidation proceedings are pending against the principal borrower.
Unnao Rape Survivor– Transfer Petition:
Represented the Unnao rape survivor in the Supreme Court seeking transfer of criminal proceedings lodged against her from Unnao to Delhi.
Child Custody– Welfare of the Child:
Represented the mother in a cross-border child custody case where the Supreme Court had directed that the child be returned to the father in the United States. Successfully obtained mirror orders in India and the US, to protect the mother’s custody over the minor child, till the decision of the jurisdictional Court in the United States.

Amicus Curiae– Minor’s Privacy in Kidnapping Case:
Appointed amicus curiae in a case involving the kidnapping of a minor girl from Gorakhpur, where the Supreme Court directed the Delhi Police to refrain from disclosing investigation details publicly.
IBC Delay – NCLAT Intervention:
Represented the appellant before the NCLAT, in a matter where the Tribunal expressed concern over protracted delays in adjudication under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC).
IBC – Supreme Court Orders Completion of Stalled Project:
Represented a group of homebuyers before the Supreme Court of India, where the Court, while permitting withdrawal of CIRP under Section 12A of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), directed the builder to complete the long-delayed housing project. The judgment marked a significant intervention to protect the interests of homebuyers and ensure timely delivery.
Property Law – Caretaker’s Claim Rejected:
Represented Himalaya Vintrade Pvt. Ltd. before the Supreme Court, where the Court held that a caretaker or servant cannot acquire interest in a property, irrespective of long possession, and directed the respondent to vacate the premises within three months.

Medical Education– PG Seat Surrender:
Successfully represented a private medical college from Telangana before the Supreme Court, which stayed a High Court order that had suspended the Medical Council of India’s decision to permit surrender of PG diploma seats.
IBC – NCLAT Stay on ₹1,300 Cr Payment Order:
Represented ArcelorMittal India before the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), which stayed an NCLT Ahmedabad order directing payment of ₹1,300 crore to Odisha Slurry Pipeline Infrastructure Ltd (OSPIL) as CIRP costs. The dispute involved claims over pipeline usage charges during the Essar Steel insolvency proceedings.

Unwinding Forced Merger– IT Company:
Represented a leading IT company in a landmark case before the Supreme Court, which set aside the Central Government’s unprecedented order mandating its merger with a subsidiary commodities exchange.

Arbitration Act – Retroactivity Judgment:
Represented BCCI in the landmark BCCI v. Kochi judgment, where the Supreme Court clarified the retroactive applicability of the 2015 amendments to the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
Trademark Passing Off – Acquiescence and Interim Relief:
Represented Torrent Pharmaceuticals in Wockhardt Ltd. v. Torrent, where the Supreme Court upheld an interim injunction against Wockhardt’s use of the mark “CHYMTRAL FORTE,” clarifying that likelihood of confusion- not fraudulent intent- is sufficient in passing off, and only positive acquiescence can bar relief.
Trademark Infringement– E-commerce Liability:
Represented Skechers in a trademark infringement suit against Flipkart and its sellers for selling counterfeit products, leading to raids on warehouses and an out-of-court settlement involving monetary compensation and business assurances.

CAG Audit of Discoms – Executive Power Curtailed:
Represented Delhi’s power distribution companies before the Delhi High Court, which struck down the Delhi Government’s order directing a CAG audit of Discoms. The Court held that such audits must be initiated by the electricity regulator under the Electricity Act, 2003.
